Russia’s Pobeda and India’s GoAir have announced plans for new routes to Dubai airport

Pobeda, the low-cost carrier owned by Russian national carrier Aeroflot, will start flights from Moscow Vnukovo airport to Dubai from October.

Two low-cost carriers, Russia’s Pobeda and India’s GoAir have announced plans for new routes to Dubai.

Pobeda, the low-cost carrier owned by Russian national carrier Aeroflot, will start flights from Moscow Vnukovo airport to Dubai from October 4 later this year, according to the Simple Flying website.

The service will operate four times a week using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the report added.

Indian budget carrier GoAir announced this week it started operating flights from the Indian city of Kannur to Dubai from July 19.

The Mumbai-based low-cost carrier is also planning to boost its flights to Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.

“These planned launches will strengthen GoAir’s presence in the Middle East and South East Asian countries. The network expansion is in sync with our vision to expand our footprint in strategic markets and to grow our business profitably,” Jeh Wadia, managing director and acting chief executive officer, GoAir, was quoted as saying in a report by the News18 Indian news website.
