BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a new attack in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate this morning.

Backed by heavy airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the western axis of Tal Malah this morning in a bid to retake this hilltop and reopen the main road between Mhardeh and Sqaylabiyeh.

However, the Syrian Army was once again unable to penetrate the jihadist defenses at Tal Malah, forcing them to withdraw after a short battle.

According to a military report from northwestern Hama, the Syrian Army suffered over 15 casualties during the failed attack on Tal Malah.

The Syrian Army’s attempt to retake Tal Malah this morning marked the first time in a week that the military has attempted to advance in northwestern Hama.
