BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) came under heavy attack last night when a group of unknown assailants targeted their military convoy inside the provincial capital of Al-Raqqa.

According to a report from Raqqa city, an SDF military convoy consisting of five vehicles was moving through the Municipal Stadium area of the provincial capital when the unknown assailants detonated their IEDs last night.

The report said that as a result of this IED attack, at least seven fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces were killed and several others were badly wounded.

The military report would add that an ammunition truck belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces was also destroyed during last night’s attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for this latest attack; however, some activists have accused the mysterious pro-government “Popular Resistance of Raqqa” group.
