The 26-sailor crew of the ship “Happiness 1” carrying oil products were all rescued, SPA added.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Center in Jeddah was notified of a distress call by the vessel, which was around 70 nautical miles from Jeddah’s Islamic Port.
According to SPA, the vessel had a crew of 26, including 24 Iranians and two Bangladeshis.
Saudi authorities said various government agencies were involved in the operation, including those who handle environmental protection.
