BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force has continued their strikes over the Idlib Governorate this week, targeting several sites under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
According to a military report from the nearby Hama Governorate, the Russian Air Force conducted several raids over the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate on Tuesday.
The report said the Russian Air Force concentrated most of their strikes on the militant stronghold of Khan Sheikhoun and its surrounding points, which are controlled by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza.
Over the last 72 hours, the Syrian and Russian air forces have repeatedly attacked Khan Sheikhoun, making this the largest attack on the town this year.
Khan Sheikhoun was captured by the militant forces during their 2014 offensive in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
