BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:50 A.M.) – The Kurdish-led Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) carried out a powerful attack against the Turkish military in the Sirnak Province near the Syrian border.

According to the PKK’s claims, their attack against the Turkish military was carried out on July 5th inside an undisclosed part of the Sirnak Province.

The Kurdish group released a video showing their forces destroying Turkish anti-tank systems and carrying out a car bombing to destroy a radio-transparent dome for a radar station.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has not commented on these recent claims by the PKK.

Turkey was involved in a long war with the PKK during the last two decades of the 1900s; this created a major rift with neighboring Syria, who was supporting the Kurdish group against the Turkish Armed Forces.
