BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:45 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a fresh attack on the western part of Aleppo city last night, hitting a number of densely populated areas.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham reportedly began their assault by launching several artillery shells and rockets towards the New Aleppo District; this would cause significant damage to a few buildings in the residential zones.

Following the attack on New Aleppo, the jihadist rebels shifted their attention to the Al-Khaldiyeh District and Nile Street, where they would launch a barrage of artillery shells towards these areas.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has yet to respond to these attacks, despite the fact Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham specifically targeted residential areas in Aleppo city.

These latest attacks by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham come just 48 hours after the Russian Air Force launched several airstrikes over their positions in the Anadan Plain, Rashideen suburb, and Kafr Aleppo.

The month of April alone has witnessed the highest number of attacks and casualties in the Aleppo Governorate; this is likely due to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s expansion along the Idlib axis.
