Staff took to training in Education City, ahead of the 2020 event, on March 13th as excitement builds for Qatar’s Cycling Festival of Sport.
Dolphin Energy’s staff riders got to get in some training and encourage the local business community to get involved in Qatar Cyclists organised 2020 Ooredoo Ride of Champions.
With only two weeks to go to the 4th of edition of the event, the riders burnt some calories and released some energy ahead of the event. March 13th will see 2000 participants cover around 80,225km the equivalent of riding around the circumference of the world twice. The riders will burn 2.4M calories, the equivalent of energy from 8500 pizza slices.
Dolphin Energy’s General Manager – Qatar, Mr. Hassan Al-Emadi, who was out riding, commented on Dolphin Energy’s sponsorship: “We are delighted to support the Ride of Champions and help bring local communities together for this unique community cycling event. As it is open to everyone from 3 to 83 years of age, I am looking forward to seeing Dolphin Energy employees and their families enjoy the fun and compete in the corporate challenge awards. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who participated.”
Spaces are still available for this year’s event, with registration open at www.rocdoha.qa. First 2000 participants receive limited edition bike jerseys (9+) and event bike bottles.
