Dolphin Energy enters the partnership as part of a campaign to promote an energetic healthy lifestyle among its stakeholders

Qatar Cyclists, a Ministry of Culture and Sports supported entity, is proud to announce Dolphin Energy Limited as an official partner of the Ooredoo Ride of Champions which is set to take place on 15th March 2019 at the Ceremonial Court of Qatar Foundation.

The partnership agreement comes as part of Dolphin Energy’s continued commitment to promoting health and wellbeing across the local community.

More than 1500 participants are expected to take part in the five rides offered by the third edition of the event, surpassing the previous record of 1100 riders, set during the 2017 edition.

The Ride of Champions is the flagship event of Qatar Cyclists, a community initiative that plays a huge role in the promotion of cycling and healthy lifestyles. Their weekly activities across the country draw thousands of cycling enthusiasts who enjoy road rides, spinning classes, in addition to training sessions at Lusail International Circuit. Earlier this month, the center’s top event for mountain bikes, the Al Adaid Desert Challenge, also saw a record of more than 500 participants.

Commenting on the company’s participation, Mr. Hassan Al-Emadi, General Manager-Qatar, Dolphin Energy, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Qatar Cyclists Center and support the 3rd Ride of Champions 2019. This is the first year of our involvement and it gives us the opportunity to tap an increasingly popular pastime and extend our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing in the process. It is well known that people benefit from being physically active which is why we’re very pleased to be involved and help bring local communities together in this way.”

The 2019 Ride of Champions offers various rides that cater to all ages and levels of experience. Adults and kids over the age of nine can participate together in a 5.8 km family ride inside the premises of Qatar Foundation which will also hosts a 1 km race for kids, aged between 3 and 8 years old, at the Green Spine, while more the experienced cyclists can choose between three road rides with different distances; 137 km or 78 km or 48 km.

The 2019 Ooredoo Ride of Champions is also supported by Qatar National Tourism Council, Ministry of Culture and Sports, Qatar Cycling Federation, Qatar Foundation, Al Fardan Group, Qatar Stock Exchange, Turkish Airlines, Garmin Lingawi, Rayyan Water and Rasen Sports.
